Ozempic® is contraindicated in patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2. Do not use in type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea — particularly during dose escalation. Pancreatitis has been reported. When used with insulin or sulfonylureas, hypoglycemia risk increases. Do not use during pregnancy.
