GLP-1 insurance prior authorization
GLP-1 medications (Wegovy®, Ozempic®, Zepbound®) require insurance prior authorization in most cases. Coverage varies significantly by plan — some cover these medications with PA, others do not. FirstCall physicians assist with the prior authorization process as part of your GLP-1 evaluation.
For patients without coverage or with denied PAs, cash-pay options including compounded GLP-1 medications from licensed pharmacies are available. Your physician will discuss the options that apply to your situation.
